🔍 About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager - Asset Management to support the management of Yellow Door Energy’s operational asset portfolio in the UAE.
This is a commercially focused role with regular client and stakeholder interaction, suited to someone who understands what it takes to manage operational renewable energy or infrastructure assets after commissioning. The role represents the asset owner’s function, helping ensure that assets perform in line with contractual, financial and commercial expectations.
Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, you will work closely with clients, lenders, O&M, Finance, Legal, Insurance and senior management teams to support strong portfolio performance, contractual compliance, client satisfaction and long-term asset value.
This role is best suited to a professional with direct asset management experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities or a related asset-intensive sector, combined with strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across an operational portfolio management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across an operational portfolio.
⚡ What You’ll Deliver & Own
In this role, you will support the successful management of YDE’s operational assets, ensuring customer relationships, asset performance, lender obligations and commercial risks are managed effectively.
You will:
Act as the main point of contact for assigned customers post-commissioning, supporting strong relationships, timely communication and issue resolution.
Monitor and manage customer-related matters, including receivables, invoicing follow-ups, customer securities, billing queries and contractual obligations.
Track asset performance, generation performance, operational events, downtime and incidents with potential commercial or financial impact.
Coordinate with O&M and technical teams to understand performance issues, resolution plans and timelines.
Support lender reporting and compliance for financed assets, including DSCR calculations, covenant tracking, debt service obligations, insurance requirements and reporting deadlines.
Prepare and coordinate portfolio reports, budget versus actual analysis, receivables updates, asset summaries and compliance submissions.
Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Insurance, O&M, technical teams and senior management to resolve issues impacting customers, asset performance or contractual compliance.
Identify commercial risks and value enhancement opportunities across the portfolio, including optimisation initiatives, expansions or customer growth opportunities.
Contribute to continuous improvement of asset management processes, reporting and ways of working.
🛠️ What You Must Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
5–7 years of experience in asset management within renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities or a related asset-intensive sector.
Experience managing customer, stakeholder or investor/lender relationships in an operational asset environment.
Exposure to long-term commercial contracts, such as PPAs, leases or infrastructure agreements.
Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to monitor asset performance, receivables, contractual obligations and risk.
Strong Excel, reporting and financial analysis capability.
Ability to manage multiple assets, competing priorities and time-sensitive stakeholder requirements.
Clear, professional communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong Advantage
Exposure to financed assets, lender reporting, covenant compliance or DSCR calculations.
Experience working with solar PV, distributed energy, commercial and industrial infrastructure or similar operational assets.
Experience coordinating across Finance, Legal, O&M, technical and commercial teams.
Working understanding of solar PV systems, generation performance and asset performance drivers.
Experience preparing portfolio reports, compliance updates, receivables analysis or asset performance summaries.
